OOC:Linking to Nationstates

To allow external linking to trusted sources without triggering the anti-spam protection on the wiki, we have added some shortcuts for linking to nationstates forum posts and factbooks.

Forum Posts

To get the ID of a forum post, click the little paper icon in the top left of the post you want.

This will reload the page with the specified post at the top, and you can now check the address bar for the post ID, which is everything after the "p" in the URL

This post ID can then be used with the interwiki syntax. So [[nspost:12062968|a link to The History of Modern NS Sports]] will create a link to The History of Modern NS Sports.

Factbooks

Factbooks work in a similar way to posts. All factbooks are actually dispatches, so they also have unique IDs. If you click the factbook you want to link to, and check the address bar, it should look something like this.

The highlighted section is the unique ID for that factbook. You can plug that into the interwiki syntax too. In this case, [[factbook:780065|Cobre creole phrasebook]] will go to Cobre creole phrasebook.
