Club sportif de Saint-Rémy is a professional football club based in Saint-Rémy and playing in the Kelssek Championship. it is often called CSSR for short, which is the source of its longer nickname, quatre-lettres (four letters).
One of its famous supporter songs is "CSSR, quatre lettres dans notre cœurs". While Saint-Rémy considers CF Outineau its major rival, it is more important to Saint-Rémy than to Outineau. This derby des vallées (Derby of the Valleys) is named because the cities are in two adjacent watersheds, with Saint-Rémy in the Suter river valley while Outineau is located on Lake Claire and the Haligonia river system.
The club has a long-running sponsorship with the communications provider Intersat, and uses one of the few sponsored stadium names in Kelssek. Key Kelssek national football team members developed at CSSR include Ian Sinclair, Adrian Tremblay-Fillon, and Brayden Custworth. Saint-Rémy has won the Kelssek Championship seven times, two Patriotes Cup trophies, and was the first Kelssek club to win the IFCF Challengers Cup. The back-to-back title wins in the 61st and 62nd KFL seasons under manager Jorge Guardia are known as the deux glorieuses.
Remarkably, two managers in a row left Saint-Rémy to manage Kelssek, first Guardia and then his successor Calen Reamsey, although Reamsey had been fired shortly before taking the Kelssek job. Despite leading the club to three successive top-three finishes, two years of subsequent decline led to his contract being run down and Jonathan Dubois being hired from CF Saint-Richard. After enduring a multi-year period of squad development and false dawns under Dubois, they finally repeated this feat of consecutive championship wins in the 85th and 86th KFL seasons. They also became the first Kelssek team to win the IFCF Challengers Cup, in a campaign that saw the emergence of homegrown stars Romy Métisser and Artemios Ostend as key midfield players.
