The Lionsroarian national football team, also known as the National Football Team of Großlöwenburg or the Löwenburgische Fußballmannschaft, nicknamed the Lions, represents Lionsroar in men's international football. Lionsroar's national team is lead by the Lionsroarian Football Association (LFA), playing against other national teams of Valsora. The current coach is Peter von Neustein, and the team's home ground is the King's Field in Lowenburg.

They play since their founding in 1946 in traditional white-yellow striped kits. The shield of the coat of arms is displayed as the badge. It shows a black-and-yellow-halfed royal lion, indicating the bright and dark sides of football emotions. A special kit with a single huge roaring lion was released in 1992 following the Seventh Dynasty and is only used for special purposes.

Football as a popular sport has a long history and deep-rooted traditions in Lionsroar. Originating from early forms of rugby and other medieval ball games, it is by far the most popular and historically widespread sport. However, it was not until the 19th century that football experienced new waves of development and, alongside gymnastics, contributed to a collective movement. Clubs were founded, associations were formed, and the first rulebooks were written. At that time, the League of Kings existed, but it collapsed at the end of the 19th century, leading to a civil war. During this period, football was regionally dominant, with its own leagues, cups, teams, and regulations. Consequently, there was no national team for Lionsroar, and even cross-border matches between clubs were rare.

For many decades, Löwenburg did not field a national team, but the confederal entities did -- without much multiversal success though. Until when in 1987, the LFA decided to do a first advancement into international waters by particpating in the BoF. After failing horribly, it was decided to first develop the domestic league, which it did. Now fielding the most prominent and famous league in all of Valsora, Löwenburg decided to once again participate in 2006, fielding a national team to the IAC 26.

Initially, however, Löwenburg went through a rather bleak dry spell, playing a series of friendly matches and tournaments without securing a single victory. Understandably disheartened, the team traveled to Edsmontik for the IAC26, where they proceeded to pull off a major surprise. They finished at the top of their group, having defeated the hosts, Edsmontik, as well as Arklanda, and earning a draw against The Golden Harp. In the following round, they secured a commanding win over Calgasia and even managed to defeat the defending champions, Recuen, 1–0. Their luck eventually ran out, ironically, against Edsmontik. Yet, the hype had been ignited; Löwenburg developed a true passion for international football, embarking on these journeys accompanied by a loyal following, including the newly formed international ultra group "Internationales Inferno", a mixture of the many different ultra and fan groups of national Burgish football, renowned for its fan culture.

The action continued without a break into the World Cup, though the previous success could not be immediately sustained, a result that was, unfortunately, somewhat expected. Following a solid group stage, the team failed to qualify for the next round. Nevertheless, memorable moments were created. On August 22, 2006, the team made its World Cup debut at home against the reigning champions and the world’s number one side: the formidable Audioslavia. A victory also proved elusive against their next opponents, Snestar. Two wins followed, but the team then suffered a narrow 3–4 defeat to Atheara in a thrilling encounter. A losing streak ensued, during which Löwenburg failed to score in two consecutive matches. By the time they faced Snestar II, it was already clear that they would not qualify for the next stage. The team was finally able to shake off their frustration with a spectacular 6–2 away victory against the Macabees, a satisfying conclusion to their campaign. In particular, team legend Ludwig von den Linden reached new heights during this match. After one more win and another defeat, the spectacle concluded with a draw. And here’s a fun fact: in all the matches Löwenburg has played to date, the team has scored exactly as many goals as it has conceded, even though they have suffered more defeats than victories.

But the journey continues, this time at the Cup of Harmony 94 in Libesia.
