History
While the province of Leitner may be most known for cattle farming, it was the oil industry that built Austin City. Large deposits of oil were discovered in the north of the province. One ambitious wildcatter used his new formed wealth in 1944 to form the Austin Area Football Club or AAFC in 1940. The AAFC was a player in some local leagues, but was never a financially stable team. When the wildcatter who founded the team passed away in 1960 due to a heart attack, the family who had taken over the team sold and the team was bought buy a group of local investors of another team who then merged AAFC in with their semi-pro team and two years later that team would merge together with a pair of other local semi-pro teams to Form the current iteration of Austin City. Soon in the early 1973s, thanks to a merger that formed United Marietta FC, Austin City found itself in the FLOX Beta Division. Since then Austin City has been staying in the top two tiers of FLOX and as of late has been one of the most prominent contenders for Champions League representation.
