Aurora Borealis, commonly referred to as Borealis Snowflakes, is a Hawklandian professional football club based in Aurora, a historic suburb of Østad. The club competes in the Hawklandian Premier League, the top tier of Hawklandian football. It was a founding member of the Hawklandian Premier League, and is one of the most popular clubs among Hawklandian youth, do to their domestic success and youth focus. The club has only won one league title, which was the debut HPL season.
They play in historic Aurora Stadium, which was recently renovated to be football specific, with the Aurora Renegades laceball club moving to San Denam Road. It is known for its artificial cold temperatures, earning the nickname "The Walk-In Freezer"
The club's nickname is "The Borealis Snowflakes." Originally given as an insult by rival fans, they adopted the nickname after their lone HPL title.
