Breton (Frankish: Breçanne) is the capital and largest city of the Kelssek republic of Haligonia, located on the northern end of the Sunrise Coast. A historic port city built around Breton Harbour, it is Kelssek's second-busiest seaport by cargo volume handled and home to the largest base of the Kelssek Navy. Emerald Point Citadel, a maritime fort constructed in 139 BFE, is the city's most well-known landmark and a Kelssek national historic site. The citadel continues the naval tradition of the One O'Clock Gun, firing a cannon every day one hour after noon to mark the time.

The southernmost Kelssek city with a population over a million and known for its relatively mild climate, the Breton region is a popular vacation and holiday destination within the country. Merriview Beach in the Oceanside district is a popular spot for Breton residents.

The largest employers in Breton are the Government of Haligonia, Kelssek Ministry of Defence, Port of Breton, Ocean Pacific Lines, University of Haligonia, Maritime Life Insurance, and Bleen Inductive Logistics. The city's largest industries are shipbuilding, transportation, tourism, higher education, and fisheries. Breton is the hub of Haligonia's healthcare system, with the University Hospital of Haligonia capable of the highest level of trauma and surgical care and an important centre for research and medical training.
