Tiebreakers
In the group stage, the ranking of teams in each group will be based on the following criteria:
Points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss);
Overall goal difference ;
Points in matches between teams initially tied on points and goal difference;
Goal difference in matches between teams initially tied on points and goal difference;
Drawing of lots (OOC: cumulative roleplay bonus ).
In the event that more than two teams are initially tied and at least one team wins or loses a tiebreaker, the tiebreaking procedure will continue with the next criterion on the list, with results from all initially tied teams still included in the "head-to-head" calculation.
In the knockout stage, if a match is tied at the end of normal playing time, two fifteen-minute periods of extra time will be played. If the match is still tied at the end of extra time, a penalty shoot-out will be held to determine the winners.
Draw
Teams were seeded into one of four pots according to the KPB ranking system , updated as of the end of World Cup 88 qualification . Krytenia and Græntfjall were placed in Pot 1 by right as hosts and automatically assigned to Group A and Group P respectively, with the remaining teams drawn consecutively into Groups A to P.
