The fencing competitions at the 14th Summer Olympics in Istria were held from Day 1 to 9 at the Agri Town Hall, Agri, Electrum. It is estimated around 500 to 600 fencers competed in 12 events- 6 individual and 6 team events. Due to the extremely large size of both and individual events, it is presumed that some competitions began as early as five or six in the morning, and only ended by midnight.
