The Poafmersian Premier League, often referred to as the PFPL outside Poafmersia, is the top level of the Poafmersian football league system. Administered by the Poafmersia Football Association (PFPA), it is contested by 20 teams, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation, with teams being relegated to the Poafmersian Super League. Seasons run from March to November yearly, with each team playing 38 matches every season (playing all 19 other teams home and away).
The competition was formed in 2094, following the decision by the PFFA to launch a nation-wide league system to replace the current state-based league system. The launch of the 1st season coincided with the launch of the IFCF club competition, a successor to the previous international cups launched by UICA.
