Group stage

Tiebreakers

In the group stage, the ranking of teams in each group will be based on the following criteria:

  1. Points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss);
  2. Overall goal difference;
  3. Points in matches between teams initially tied on points and goal difference;
  4. Goal difference in matches between teams initially tied on points and goal difference;
  5. Drawing of lots (OOC: cumulative roleplay bonus).

In the event that more than two teams are initially tied and at least one team wins or loses a tiebreaker, the tiebreaking procedure will continue with the next criterion on the list, with results from all initially tied teams still included in the "head-to-head" calculation.

In the knockout stage, if a match is tied at the end of normal playing time, two fifteen-minute periods of extra time will be played. If the match is still tied at the end of extra time, a penalty shoot-out will be held to determine the winners.

Draw

Teams were seeded into one of four pots according to the KPB ranking system, updated as of the end of World Cup 88 qualification. Krytenia and Græntfjall were placed in Pot 1 by right as hosts and automatically assigned to Group A and Group P respectively, with the remaining teams drawn consecutively into Groups A to P.
