The 1./ ("first division") is a professional association football league which is the highest level of club football in Zwangzug. It is contested by sixteen teams, which play each other in a double-round-robin.
The league does not have a system of promotion or relegation; rather, the same franchises have competed in the league since its foundation. Teams are awarded one point for a win and half a point for a draw.
The top-finishing teams qualify for the Champions' League and the Challengers' Cup run by the IFCF, as well as the FFI tournaments. Since Season 22, the league has been accompanied by the Cereal Cup.
Zwangzug's first professional football league was the MUFN, but after that league's collapse, there were many years without a professional infrastructure as football redeveloped at a grassroots level. Although the 1./ went on hiatus when the country temporarily ceased to exist, it proved more resilient in bouncing back than the precarious national football team, and has consistently participated in UICA/IFCF competition since the post-hiatus season 11 (UICA cycle 59).
