Edorta Urrustoy Oyerbide (born 6 Uholdetsu [3 April] 604), nicknamed Harakina ("The Butcher" in Astograthian), is an Astograthian former football manager and player. He is frequently considered one of the greatest Astograthian managers and midfielders of all time.
Born in Urbizania in the final years of the Duchy of Rumiatzi, Urrustoy began his career at local club Urbizania Wanderers, with whom he spent the bulk of his career. Playing in the Capital Region Elite League as a deep-lying playmaker, he was one of the competition's top talents in his early 20s. In 626, at the age of 22, Urrustoy tore his anterior cruciate ligament in a match against Latzerria West; the recovery would rule him out of the 627 season and much of the 628 season as well. The injury made Urrustoy's prior pace and fine footwork impossible to achieve; in subsequent years he struggled to regain his form until being redeployed as a midfield anchorman by manager Xuban Barrutia. In that role he thrived, but his reputation as a bad-tempered, violent player earned him the nickname Harakina, "the Butcher". In 635, the second season of the new Astograthian First Division, an incident with referee Elorri Alzarria in a match against South Factory led to an 8-match suspension for Urrustoy and almost saw him expelled from the club. The following year, after being sent off against Ituraitz FC for a tackle on Soter Sarlange, Urrustoy fell out with manager Xuban Barrutia and did not play again for Urbizania Wanderers.
In 637, Urrustoy signed for Juvapanam of the KPFA League First Division in Kagdazka & Pazhujebu. He immediately became one of the team's key players, earning the league's Player of the Year award as Juvapanam won a domestic double. They would repeat this the following season, with Urrustoy again winning the Player of the Year award. Urrustoy retired at the end of 639, following one more season with Juvapanam, at the age of 35.
At international level, Urrustoy joined the Astograthian national team as it prepared for its competitive debut prior to World Cup 55. He played and scored in the famous match against Polar Islandstates held on 15 March 637, and would go on to start for Astograth at Baptism of Fire 42, the qualifying campaign for World Cup 55, and Cup of Harmony 47.
Following his retirement, Urrustoy worked as a pundit for Astograthian media. At Copa Rushmori VI, while commentating a match between Bleak Rock and Saugeais, Bleak Rock manager Shaan Magerin climbed the stands to offer him a job as assistant. Urrustoy accepted, and credits his time working with Magerin as essential for his later career. In 644 he accepted the position of manager at Urbizania Wanderers and remained there for 13 seasons. His most notable achievement as manager was the 651 season, during which Wanderers signed Vanorian star Laborious Hawk, won the First Division for the first time, and became the first Astograthian club to become world champions by winning the UICA Champions’ Cup.
In 658, Urrustoy took charge of the Astograthian national team and qualified them to World Cup 67, their first appearance at the finals since hosting World Cup 62 and their last until World Cup 77. Under his watch, Astograth additionally reached the final of Copa Rushmori XVII, losing to Mytanija. Urrustoy would end his managerial career in 663, following the dissolution of the Futbol Astograthiko Federazioa by government order. His sons Kaxen Urrustoy (b. 637) and Eder Urrustoy (b. 640), from his marriage to Zubia Laberan, would go on to play professionally for Juvapanam and Urbizania Wanderers respectively.
