This template may be used to generate abbreviated links to various Formula One seasons:

• "[[Ayrton Senna]] won the {{F1|1991}} championship" → "Ayrton Senna won the 1991 championship"

The template links to YYYY FIA Formula One World Championship for years after 1980, and to YYYY Formula One season for all other years.

Examples
