This article will contain information to help editors use the "UICA" templates which appear on many club football pages.

Basic use

The page Template:UICA association (code) must exist for this to show up. If the club has a logo specified in that template, it will show up, if not, it defaults to the unknown club badge.

The page that the nation name link will point to can be changed by modifying the association link parameter within the individual Template:UICA association XYZ page.

Usage

Wiki markup Displays Notes
{{UICAclub2t|Yuba United|COM}}
Yuba United (COM)
For it to appear centred, you'll need to put it in a table cell with the appropriate formatting.
{{UICAclub2s|Burnaby SC|KSK}}
(KSK)
Club logo with association code on the second line. Intended for use in a results grid.
{{UICAclublt|Shamrock Cathair|AUD}}  Shamrock Cathair (AUD) Logo on the left
{{UICAclubrt|Jungle Strike FC|VIL}} Jungle Strike FC (VIL)  Logo on the right
{{UICAassnlt|VAL}} Valanora (VAL) The three-letter code must match

How to add club crests

In this example, you'll be uploading the crest for the club Sampleville United, which plays in the Samplestan league.

  • Go to "upload file" and make the destination filename Sampleville United logo.png, and put [[Category:Football club logos]] in the summary box. (You don't really have to, but consistent naming formats and organizing things help everyone!)
  • Go to the page Template:UICA association Samplestan and click on "Edit" at the top.
  • Add the following line to the template, making sure it comes before the }} at the bottom.

| club logo-Sampleville United = Sampleville United logo.png

  • Optional: You can also control the page that the club name link will point to. So, for instance, to ensure that when Sampleville United U21s will point to the main club's page, you would do this:

| club link-Sampleville United U21 = Sampleville United

It should look like something like this when you're done.

{{ {{{1<noinclude>|UICA show association</noinclude>}}}
| association = Samplestan
| trigram = XYZ
| association link = Samplestan Football Association
| flag = Flag of Samplestan.png
| club = {{{club|}}}
| club logo-Sampleville United = Sampleville United logo.png
| club logo-Sampleville City = Sampleville City logo.png
}}
