The FA Cup, known as the PFFA Cup outside Poafmersia, is a domestic cup competition in Poafmersia. Administered by the Poafmersia Football Association (PFPA), it is a straight knockout tournament featuring all 106 teams in the PFFA Premier League, PFFA Super League, and the PF National League.
The competition was formed in 2094, following the decision by the PFFA to launch a nation-wide league system to replace the current state-based league system. The competition was originally intended to be the successor of the Poafmersia Champions' Cup, featuring only teams from the top 2 tiers, but it was instead modified to include everyone from the National League.
Currently, the competition is in its 4th season. The winner of the competition qualifies for the Cup Winners Cup.
Format
The competition is held in a straight knockout format. As all matches, with the exception of the semifinals, are held in a single-leg format, a replay system was put in place to allow for more excitement and to give lower-league teams a bigger chance to play in some of the league's biggest stadiums. However, due to the fixture congestion with the international and regional club competitions, it was agreed that replays will be scrapped for the 5th round and the quarterfinals, with matches going straight into extra time and penalties.
