History

Pearlham SC was the footballing division of the Pearlham Sporting Club. Founded in 1910, Pearlham Sporting Club first fielded a team for association football in 1922. In the early 20s and 30s Pearlham SC played in regional pre-Football League of Xanneria leagues in the eastern part of the country, or would go on barnstorming tours of Xanneria, playing teams locally to what ever part of the country they happened to be in. This in fact is where their first nickname "The Barnstorming Blues" came from. When the league that the Pearlham SC team had been playing in for the last two years collapsed, Pearlham found an opportunity with the brand new 12 team Football league of Xanneria.

Soon it became apparent that Pearlham SC was the team to beat in the early days. in the first decade of FLOX, Pearlham won 5 title. But it was not till the 50s that Pearlham really went on it's golden generation rampage. from 1948-1968 a two decade period of dominance was attained on the back of legendary coach Arthur Rhone, who in 20 years won 17 titles including a period from 1951-1962 where they won all titles. Rhone is usually credited with bringing many of the aggressive play tactics that Xanneria is known for into the game. This would eventually lead to the other nickname for the team and the one that the team uses commonly in its branding. "The Revolutionaries".

Pearlham will always be one of if not the best and most historically success full teams in Xanneria. But in the late 1980s and early 1990s it wasn't always the case. Between 1988 and 1996 they suffered their only streak of playing in the lower tier when they played 7 seasons in FLOX Beta Division and one in FLOX Gamma Division.

Nowadays Pearlham is seen once again as a footballing power, with the usuall seasons ending in contention for a place in the IFCF Challengers Cup.

Rivalries

A weird quirk in Xannerian football is that until 2045 FLOX League V promotion of Pearlham Blue Star, there was no other Pearlham based team in professional football. This quirk has widely been believed to be the result of Pearlham's dominance in barnstorming and pre-FLOX leagues scaring away other teams. The big rival for most Pearlham fans though are the Hornets of East Rowe FC. sadly the Hornets and the Revolutionaries, have rarely met. East Rowe has been a noted yo-yo team.

As for teams in the FLOX Omega Division, Pearlham has minor rivalries with Capital FC and Bearden FC. But if there was another team in the Omega division Pearlham fans disliked, it would be Galaxy SC. Galaxy's noted jet-setting fans have also struck a chord with the older fashioned Pearlham fans, meaning once again, this is a rivalry built on a clash of cultures.
