Arbroath United Football Club are a New Angusian football club based in the city of Arbroath. Formed in 2018 (although playing since 2017), they currently compete in the New Angus Premier League and play their home games at Warddykes Park.

History

Arbroath United were founded in 2018 - but the club had existed since 2017, this is due to a legal loophole in New Angus at the time where clubs did not have to be legal entities to play in the football association. The records all state the club was officially founded in 2018.

Arbroath United have won two major honours, the League Cup and the Challenge Shield. They maintain a fierce rivalrly with Arbroath Rovers, with whom they contest the Arbroath derby.

Arbroath United are one of only two clubs to have faced a disciplinary hearing with the New Angus FA, in 2022 they were called in to face charges of match fixing - however the club were acquitted of the charges.

The club is managed by Joe McGovern.
