The CMFA Champions League is an annual club association football competition organised by the Confederation of Mandalanusa Football Association (CMFA) and contested by top-division Mandalanusan clubs, deciding the competition winners through a group and knockout format. It is the most prestigious club competition in Mandalanusan football, played by the top 4 national league of their national associations.
Until the 17th edition, the competition has been won by 13 clubs from 10 nations. Pesetih Titih of Pemecutan become the most successful club after winning their fourth title in the 12th edition. The result also make Pemecutan as the most successful association in the region. By club number, Havynwilde is the most successful with 3 of its clubs have had win the title of the competition. The 10th and 15th editions saw 3 out of 4 semifinalists came from the same nation/associations. There are 3 clubs from Eraman in semifinal of 10th edition. While there are 3 clubs from Ziwana as semifinalists in the 15th edition. The 7th and the 15th editions are the only edition where both finalist are from a single nation/association. Avante Leipreachán and Baywall Athletics from Havynwilde in final of the 7th edition. And in 15th edition, Mansanduni Union and Amangwazi Birnin from Ziwana were the finalists.
History
Format
For most of its edition, the competition started with a group stage. At the end of the stage, top 2 of the group advance to the knockout stage. In some editions, the best third place finishers also counted to reached the knockout placement. The knockout stage rounds are varied based on the numbers of entrants. Usually started from Round of 16 or Quarterfinal. All of the matches are done in home-and-away format with the exception of the final match.
