The 16th Winter Olympics were an international winter multi-sport event held in Liventia, with competitions taking place in City Centre, the Altimarus North Coast Region, and Lox Land. A total of 53 national Olympic committees took part in the Games, including two NOCs as part of a combined delegation.

Qualifying events were held for the first time since the 11th Summer Olympics in Aeropag. The defending Olympic champions in each event (if entered), the reigning world champions in ice hockey (in both genders), and one host NOC entry per event, received automatic qualification. The top-performing athlete from each NOC also qualified if no one else from that NOC did. Host nation Liventia won the most gold medals (13) and total medals overall (40).

Qualification events

Qualification events were held for the first time in the Winter Olympics, with six nations holding the events in the period leading up to the opening of the Winter Olympics. Unlike in the 11th Summer Olympics, the qualification events were not categorised on the region-to-region basis.

Liventia and the defending Olympic Champions were automatically qualified. In cases where all the athletes in a participating delegation failed to qualify, the highest-placing athletes of the delegation were advanced to the Winter Olympics proper. Qualification events were not held for the demonstration sports.

Qualifications took place in the following countries:

  • Aboveland - speed skating, cross-country skiing
