The Kanzlian national football team represents Kanzlia in international football matches since its debut in Baptism of Fire 84. The national football team is controlled by the Kanzlian Football Association (VVK), the governing body for football in Kanzlia, which is under the jurisdiction of Esportiva. Kanzlia plays their home matches in the Szbedansk Arena.
The team is known as the Prowlers, in reference to the Kanzlian Giant Seaprowler, the country's national animal.
Competitive History
Cycle 97

The Kanzlian National Team played it's first official match against Vaishnavaria in the Baptism of Fire 84. The game ended 4-0 and Kanzlia would go one to win the remaining two group stage matches against the Martian Independent Republic and New Jarwel. Through to the knockouts, Kanzlia would fall short in the first knockout match in the Round of 16 against Avisora. And thus concluded the Prowlers Baptism of Fire.
In fact, Kanzlia went under a different nickname at the time as 'The Exiles'. This was supposed to be in reference to the fact that in the 1960s, the Kanzlian National Team played exclusively outside of the famine-struck country. This has been switched over to 'The Prowlers' by WC99. The Prowlers of course, referencing to the Giant Seaprowlers.
Kanzlia entered it's first World Cup qualification campaign for WC97 hosted by Eastfield Lodge and Pasarga under manager Vassilis van Coevorden, the father of the van Coevordens trio (Reiner, Ardentius, and Sylverio). As the 259th ranked nation, Kanzlia was drawn into Group 5 of the qualifiers as one of the weakest sides. There Kanzlia joined the likes of United Mandaran States, Vdara, Crpostran, and Aleirave amongst others. Despite rather impressive wins over United Mandaran States and Aleirave, Kanzlia finished 4th and failed to progress to the World Cup Proper. All things considered though, the 4th place finish was a respectable performance for a minnow side and by 97.2, Kanzlia jumped up to rank 117.
Kanzlia was invited to the Cup of Harmony 89 in Banija and the Prowlers squeezed through their group containing Audioslavia, HOT-DAMN, Patriotlandia, North Oharan Valley Union, and Receucn. Wins over Patriotlandia and Audioslavia was enough for Kanzlia to go through the Round of 16 where they faced HUElavia. Kanzlia lost 3-0 and was knocked out. Kanzlia concludes Cycle 97 ranked 105th.
The Prowlers took part in their first regionals after joining Esportiva in August of 2024. In Campionato Esportiva 39, was drawn into a group containing defending champions Tumbra, Irithoren, and Doubeia. Kanzlia failed to make it out of the group with 2 defeats and a lone victory against Doubeia.
The Prowlers also took part in the Di Bradini Cup and U-18 World Cup in this cycle.
Cycle 98
Heading into the qualification campaign for World Cup 98 hosted by a plethora of Rushmori nations by the 'Xandrian Sea'. Kanzlia ranked 103rd, entered as a pot 5 team for Group 10 joining the likes of Vdara, Flavovespia, Calgasia, and fellow Esportivan side Kamijiro. Despite a valiant effort, with notable wins such as 6-1 over Qasden, 5-2 over Calgasia, and even a 3-2 win over eventual champions Flavovespia, Kanzlia finished 4th, just a spot away from a play-off ticket. Kanzlia was ranked 75th at the end of the qualification campaign. After a 6-2 loss to Vdara, manager Vassilis van Coevorden was sacked and replaced by his assistant Karl Schmidt.
The Prowlers were therefore invited to the Cup of Harmony 90 hosted in Valanora and drawn into Group B as a Pot 3 side along the likes of Omerica, Indusse, and Patriotlandia amongst others. Kanzlia finished 2nd and head for the play-offs to face Drawkland. The Prowlers would fall short 3-2 after extra time to the eventual runners-up.
*Esportivan Darmen was placed ahead of Kamijiro to avoid a group stage rematch between Katzeburg and Esportivan Darmen.
**Kanzlia ahead of Kaumann via coinflip/simulated match without rank.
For Kanzlia's second foray into the Campionato Esportiva, the 40th edition was a Sporting Festival hosted by South Newlandia. Drawn to Group D with familiar faces Tumbra and Irithoren, Kanzlia finished third in the group. And by virtue of a coin-flip, Kanzlia progressed through the Round of 16 over Kaumann as the 4th best 3rd-placed team. Facing Fhulghamous Peninsula, it took a 2-4 penalty shootout for the Prowlers to win its first ever knockout match. Through to the Quarter-Finals against Vielfaltig, the Prowlers narrowly lost 1-0. Funnily enough, Kanzlia and Vielfaltig would play a friendly match after and Kanzlia won 2-0. The Prowlers end Cycle 98 ranked 72nd.

Cycle 99

Kanzlia entered the Qualification campaign for World Cup 99 hosted by Banija, Siovanija and Teusland, and Squornshelous Remnant States ranked 65th. Kanzlia was drawned to Group 8 alongside the likes of Crpostran, Audioslavia, Martian Independent Republic, Sel Appa, Mertagne, Kandorith, Carpathia and Ruthenia among others. Drawn as a Pot 4 side, in 18 qualification matches Kanzlia finished a then record high 2nd place finishing above the likes of Crpostran and Mertagne. Kanzlia was to head to its very first World Cup Proper. By the end of the qualification campaign, Kanzlia broke through the Top 50 as they were ranked 49th.
Drawn into Group E alongside Reçueçn, Ko-oren, and hosts Banija, Karl Schmidt's Prowlers were to head into their first World Cup Proper. The first match was a highly hyped game against hosts Banija. Which ended in a 0-0 draw. The next match against Reçueçn ended slightly better with a 2-1 win, the Prowlers first ever win in the World Cup Proper. This was followed by a 1-3 defeat to Ko-oren. Kanzlia would therefore finish third in Group E.
As per the rules of the tournament, the best 8 of 12 third-placed teams were to qualify to the knockouts. Kanzlia as it turns out were the 3rd best 3rd-placed teams and therefore was through to the knockouts. Drawn against Chromatika in the Round of 32, the Prowlers would fall short 3-2 over the more experienced side. And thus concludes Kanzlia's world cup dreams for this cycle.
Kanzlia entered the Campionato Esportiva 41, hosted by Katzeburg and South Newlandia, as the 7th best ranked Esportivan side. The Prowlers were drawn to Group D alongside Kamijiro, Kaumann, Fhulghamous Peninsula, and Moladea. The format was slightly unique in that each team would play a team outside of their group once. In Kanzlia's case they played hosts South Newlandia for their 4th match which ended 3-3. Kanzlia would finish 2nd in their group, behind Kamijiro by two points and qualified for the Round of 16 where they faced Esportivan Darmen.
A narrow 1-0 victory over Esportivan Darmen saw Kanzlia progress through to the Quarter-Finals against defending champions Eshialand. Another narrow win, 3-2, saw the Prowlers to their first Semi-Finals in official competitions. Faced with Gouvanarch, the repeat scoreline, 3-2, saw Kanzlia to their first ever official final, facing Paradystopia, a surprise package for the Campionato that edition. The final went to extra time after the match remain in standstill 3-3 in the first 90 minutes. But the game went to penalties instead where the Prowlers defeated Paradystopia on penalties 1-4. The Prowlers end Cycle 99 with their first silverware and ranked 36th.

Cycle 100
The tremendous Centennial cycle was highly anticipated and Kanzlia entered WC100 Qualifiers ranked 40, a few places dropped for the first time. Before the World Cup commences, Kanzlia emerged triumphant in a friendly tournament hosted by the Osnari Federation named the Federation Shield.
The World Cup was to be held in Rushmore once more, with The Kytler Peninsulae, Tikariot, Kwrpania, and Qusmo as hosts. Kanzlia was drawn to Group 10 as the Pot 2 side. Joining them are Pot 1 side Farfadillis, returning former World Cup Champions Cassadaigua, Solarampa, Solgavden, and Igratia among others. The Prowlers under Karl Schmidt plowed through Group 10. It became a theme of the tournament with victories in remarkable margins and Kanzlia didn't miss out. 6-3 against Windows 7 Bliss, 8-3 against Cassadaigua, and 6-1 against Solarampa is just some of Kanzlia's statement wins that campaign. They were on an 14-game undefeated streak in the qualifiers before losing away at Farfadillis in a rather controversial match. Winning streak or not, Karl Schmidt's Prowlers escaped the fate of the play-offs and is through to the World Cup Proper. By the end of the qualifiers, Kanzlia was ranked 31st.
Kanzlia was drawn to Group H alongside Valanora, Auprussia, and HUElavia. The first match was an unsurprising defeat to the Vanorians, followed by a 1-1 draw to Auprussia. Kanzlia was dead last in Group H heading into the match against HUElavia, who themselves were fresh off a triumph against Valanora. A win was absolutely necessary for the Prowlers to even have a shot at the play-offs. In the moment of their greatest desperation, Kanzlia won 1-0 against HUElavia. It was heartbreak for the latter as they were pushed down to dead last.

*Kanzlia ranked above Auprussia on rock-paper-scissors tiebreaker.
Kanzlia though was tied on points and goal difference with Auprussia. With H2H results being a draw, a coinflip tiebreaker saw Kanzlia finish second in Group H in the very last group match. Kanzlia was through to the Round of 32 Hexadecifinals. The Prowlers faced The Commonwealth of Baker Park in the Hexadecifinals, and lost 2-0. Funnily enough, the Kanzlians would play Baker Park again in a friendly post-tournament and would win said friendly game.
Karl Schmidt's Prowlers would enter Campionato Esportiva 42 as defending champions. And they certainly played like defending champions, going on to win all seven Campionato matches, emerging triumphant in the final over hosts Tumbra 1-0. Kanzlia ends Cycle 100 with another Campionato title and ranked 30th.

Club football
The peak of the pyramid of Kanzlian club football lie on the Kanzlian Honour Division historically ran by the KHD Corporation by themselves until S6, when the VVK took over following mismanagement and a heavy fine imposed by the Office of Fair Markets.
Kanzlian clubs have been succesfull in Esportivan club competitions, having won the Campionato Esportivano di Campeones three times. In IFCF competitions however, less so.
