History
Cycle 100
The Choppyhausenian national football team played its first official international football match at the Independent Associations Championship 24 in Saterun in 2040 where they defeated Seeberg with 1-0.
In the same year, Choppyhausen participated in its first WCC-sanctioned tournament, the 87th Baptism of Fire in Banija, Farfadillis and Equestria. The team was placed in Group 7 and managed to win the group by goal difference after three match days. In the Round of 64 match against Yangchenia, Choppyhausen won comfortably with 3-0, progressing to the Round of 32 where they beat Khaelu 3-1 in extra time. Two wins against Merulla and Seeberg led the Choppyhausenian team to the semifinals where they barely won against Super Earth in the penalty shoot-out. The BoF final was held at the Stadium of the Two Sisters in Canterlot, Equestria where Choppyhausen was defeated by their opponents Shin-Zetsubo with 3-2 after extra time.
The team failed to qualify for the following World Cup 100, ending their qualification run on 4th place. Instead, they were invited to the Cup of Harmony 92 in Zwangzug and the Busoga Islands. Choppyhausen landed on 2nd place in their group after a 5-2 win over Dhemixia on the final matchday. After a victory over Soviet Kem, the team would lose 1-2 against eventual tournament winners Saterun in the Round of 16.
Cycle 101
Choppyhausen reached the IAC knock-out stages for the first time in their history at the IAC 25 after three draws in the group stage were enough to secure the national team a place among the eight best third-placed teams. They defeated Saperetia with 1-0 in the Round of 32 before getting knocked out of the tournament by Sel Appa with the same result.
Cycle 101 was the first cycle in which Choppyhausen qualified for the World Cup. The team ended the qualifying stage on fourth place, enough to reach the playoff stage. Here, they first faced Katzeburg whom they beat in three playoff legs with 6-5. In the following playoff round, the team won 4-2 on aggregate (2-0 and 2-2) against Zwangzug, one of the best teams of the qualifiers.
In the World Cup, Choppyhausen was placed in Group M, alongside Chromatika, Aphrilia and Oberour Ar Moro. The Team in Teal lost all three of their group matches and left the tournament as last in the group.

Kits
The national team's home kit has been traditionally a teal shirt with either teal or red shorts and golden accents. This has led to the team's nickname, the "Team in Teal". Away kits are usually in a shade of red, often accompanied by golden accents. The colours are derived from the Choppyhausenian flag.
Home stadium
Choppyhausen plays its home matches among various stadiums, in rotation, around the country. Among the most frequently used venues are the Stadium of Unity in Choppingen, the Trident in Vastonburg and the Irstria Football Stadium.
Media coverage
As of 2041, Choppyhausen's broadcasts for friendlies rotate between the Broadcasting Service Choppyhausen (BSC) and several smaller private broadcasting organisations, while World Cup qualifying matches and major tournaments are exclusively on BSC.
