The Katzeburg Cup is an annual knockout football competition in domestic Katzeburgian football. The competition is open to all eligible clubs in the Katzeburgian football league system, with 128 clubs taking part in the most recent editions.
Competition Format
The Katzeburg Cup is a straight knockout tournament, where as of the fifth edition 128 teams from across the country compete across seven rounds on a seasonal basis. There is no seeding and each fixture is assigned by a random draw. Fixtures which end level at the end of 90 minutes go to extra time, with penalties to decide a winner if there is no victor after 120 minutes.
Since the start of the second edition, the Katzeburg Cup Final has traditionally been held on the penultimate weekend of the season, with all finals taking place at Katzestadt Arena, the national stadium of Katzeburg.

Axmund United are the most successful club in the history of the competition, winning two Katzeburg Cups and reaching four finals across the seven editions of the competition to date.

Consecutive Winners
Axmund United are the only team to have both reached the Katzeburg Cup final in consecutive seasons and won the competition on consecutive occasions. Axmund United reached the final three times in a row between seasons four and six, winning the competition in the last two of these two finals.
