There was one bid to host the 102nd World Cup. Nicknamed The Age of Empires, this bid was made by Drawkland and the Holy Empire, honoring the fact that this tournament marked the 100th anniversary of World Cup 2, the first World Cup hosted by the Holy Empire.

Following the preferential voting system specified by the World Cup Committee constitution, they were awarded the hosting rights.
