Saint Eleanor vs Tanirinthia

You may have noticed that details of this game have been changed to conform to what I roleplayed. This was in part because I did not know until long after the fact that Tanirinthia had already assigned statistics to this match on the wiki (whereas I tend to check for posts in the RP thread) and therefore proceeded to write my own summary, which involved Olympia Woodward going off injured with a hobbled ACL instead of scoring a 96th-minute penalty only to miss hers in the shootout. He was more than understanding of my bafflement, however.

For contest, please see the below transcript of the below Discord conversation between us, namely "tinhampton" (tinhampton) and "Carpathia & Ruthenia/Tanirinthia" (carpathiaandruthenia), which happened over 25th-26th June 2025. Times are in BST, which is our ordinary timezone. As C&R still hasn't made the conforming edits after a week, I've just done so myself and planted the flag here for posterity's sake.

I'm aware that the NSSWiki World Cup pages typically don't get a lot of love, and have previously assumed that your lack of match reports in the WC98 RP thread meant that you were just doing Of Fates and Fortunes instead. I accordingly decided to go ahead, write a few of my own details for the match - Bacchus 31, Ohan 52, Matsuda [RC] 80, Woodward ACL'd out of viability for several months/the first few qualifiers, Hollenberg the villain - and post it on MD1/2 of qualifying.

So imagine my surprise when I visited the WC98 wiki page today, i.e. over a month later, to learn that madam Woodward not only did not go off injured, but scored a 96th-minute equaliser before recording the only Eleanorian miss of the shootout! 😂

(I do suppose that Tanirithians are, by law, under no circumstances to be made aware of the multiverse, but still...)

22:34 Carpathia & Ruthenia/Tanirinthia: Tanirinthians wouldn't have been aware, so just chalk it up to bad record keeping. However now they are aware of the multiverse just in time for us to have a terrible world cup (for our rank)!

(For those of you not living in the UK at the time, "For Big McDonald's Hunger" was the tagline used for the Big Arch, which was on the UK menu only for ten weeks in the summer of 2025. I rank it exactly one tier below the Big Mac, which is to say that it is pretty good. Sorry, Other Arch.)
