The 2017-18 New Angus Premier League was the third season of the New Angus Premier League, the highest division of New Angusian football. The season began in September 2017.
Twelve teams contested the league: AFC Montrose, Arbroath Rovers, Arbroath United, Birkhill Rovers, Brechin Victoria, Dundee Athletic, Friockheim, Glamis, Lochee FC, Monifieth Town, Montrose City and Myrekirk FC.

Tournament format and regulations
Format
Each team will play each other 3 times, a total of 33 matches. Once this first section is complete, the league will split into two groups of 6 teams each, each team will then play each other once more for a total of 5 matches. By the season's end each side will have played 38 matches.
Promotion and relegation
The New Angus Football Association had announced the creation of a second division known as the Challenge League from the beginning of the 2017-18 season, the league format was to be split for the next season into two leagues of 8 teams each. As the Challenge League already had 4 teams, then 5 would need to be relegated from the Premier League to make the 8 required for the coming season. All 12 member clubs voted in favour of the change. This is the only season to date where 5 sides were automatically relegated from the Premier League.
