The Galactic Commonwealth of Cosumar, formerly the monarchic Fiefdom of Cosumar, is a spacefaring civilization that originated from a large, isolated geographic entity in the northeast of Anaia, equidistant from the continents of Aurora and Hodeikoleku. The main landmass is known as Cosumarus, with the smaller Klyde separated by a narrow sea to the east. The nation also encompasses a few scattered archipelagos off the west coast (The Western Isles, with Na'Aksu Va'em to the southwest and Olask Isles in the northwest). NaÁksu Vaém is the ancestral home of the Vloo people, a distant subspecies of human that predates the arrival of homo sapiens in Cosumar.
In addition to its terrestrial territory, Cosumar possesses many territories in galactic space. Cosumar is a proud world leader in space exploration and technology. These advancements have also benefited life back home, with Cosumar being named the "Most Developed" country in all of Anaia and top 1% of all nations by the World Assembly Census. One example of this is the famous TransCosumar Hyperloop - a monorail system that connects cities across the country with top speeds of 800 mph. Most recently, a public space shuttle service now better connects Cosumar's network of galactic colonies as well.
Despite its reputation for scientific advancement, Cosumar has attempted to preserve links to its past and possesses a strong culture based around humanism and a spiritual connection to the natural world. Even Cosumar's densest urban areas are relatively "clean and green". Over 25% of Cosumarite land is set aside as parkland and wildlife reserves. The largest of which is the Parougan Dragon Reserve, a vast tract of land in northern Cosumar that contains the endemic hunting range and breeding grounds of the mighty Azure Dragon. This dragon has become a symbol of national identity, seen on our flag, coat of arms and even the uniform of our National Football Team.
