Domestic association football in the nation of Squidroidia is overseen by the Squidroidian Football Association, or the SFA for short. There are 4 officially sanctioned tiers of football in Squidroidia, 2 for the professional game, the Squidroidian Super League and the Squidroidian Challenge League, as well as 2 divisions for the Squidroidian Amateur Leagues.

The professional divisions are separate from the amateur divisions; the lowest Challenge League team can't be relegated to the Amateur Leagues as a result. Teams can only get from the amateur leagues to the professional divisions if they win an expansion slot, which are usually given away 2 or 4 at a time. All the first teams in the professional system automatically qualify for the Squidroidian Cup, Squidroidia's main association football cup competition, however the top 2 teams in the Squidroidian Amateur League Division 1 can qualify for the cup due to sporting merit.

There are 5 main international competitions Squidroidian clubs can qualify for. The best Squidroidian clubs in the Super League qualify for the IFCF Champions League, while the next 3 qualify for the IFCF Challengers Cup and the Squidroidian Cup winner qualifies for the IFCF Cup Winners Cup no matter their position. The 3 best first team clubs in the Challenge League also qualify for the IFCF Liga B Champions Trophy. For amateur teams, qualification for the Heritage Cup is given to the 22 teams that did not qualify for the Squidroidian Cup, usually the 2 promoted Division 2 clubs as well as some stat focused requirements (Like most draws in Division 1) for the other teams.
