IFCF cycle

An IFCF cycle is defined as the time between IFCF Super Cup finals, as the IFCF open entries for the next cycle immediately upon closing the previous one. For example, IFCF cycle 17 began after the final of IFCF Super Cup 16, and ended when IFCF Super Cup 17 was completed. Each cycle therefore encompasses all stages of one edition of every competition organised and run by the IFCF.
IFCF cycles are a useful measure of time as they can be used to track domestic football seasons, and are not dependent on any individual nation's calendar. This also means, however, that they do not sync up with World Cup cycles.
