Kaylan Racing Team is the racing division of Togonistani motor vehicle manufacturer Kaylan and a racing team based in Tushlark, Togonistan. The team competes in World Grand Prix Championship and also runs a team in Togonistan Track Racing League.
History
Origins
Kaylan Racing Team was originally founded in 2009 as a program to support the development of motorsports in Togonistan. In 2010, Kaylan fielded a team in the first season of Togonistan Track Racing League, a set of Togonistani stock car racing series. The following years brought relative success to the team in series, with Kaylan and Domerton constantly competing each other on top of the standings. During the early days, Kaylan Racing Team was home to drivers such as Dom Falepeau, Levi Afakasi and Kari Nikora.
International series
With plans to enter international competitions, Kaylan initially announced it's participation in the first season of Electric Grand Prix Series with Togonistani drivers Serano Matula and Fujiwara Shigeko driving for the team. With the series getting cancelled, Kaylan eventually shifted it's focus to WGPO instead, announcing it's participation in World Grand Prix Two Season 2.
World Grand Prix 2
Season 2
Kaylan Racing Team entered it's first season of WGP2 with Tanielu Felafa taking the role of a Team Principal. The team signed Maryloupin driver Max Predofski as the team's lead driver. With the team initially struggling to find a second driver, it was eventually announced that Kaylan's junior driver Isaia Fanene would take the second seat in the team for Kaylan's debut season, with Serano Matula filling the reserve and development driver role. Kaylan used it's in-house developed T150 chassis with a new Kaieke 1 engine. To fund the WGP2 project, Kaylan announced Tushlarkian Beverages as it's primary sponsor, with the company's ZX-Flow Energy Drink brand decorating the car's main sponsor slot. Over the course of the season, the team struggled with reliability issues of both the new chassis and engine, finishing the season in lower mid-table. The team's best result was Fanene's 4th place finish at Cocoabo Preservation Grand Prix.
Season 3
Kaylan entered their second season of WGP2 with Isaia Fanene retained in the team. With Predofski not entering the next season, Kaylan signed Gergarian driver Barnabas Mate to drive for the team as part of tyre partnership with Solymok. The team kept it's chassis and engine development in-house, with the new T160 unveiled during pre-season livery reveal event. The car was powered by Kaylan's new V10 Kaieke 2 engine. Despite the new car showing decent performance, the Kaieke 2 engine became notorious for it's difficult design and poor reliability. Barnabas Mate brought the team their first WGP2 podium after finishing 3rd in Filindostan. Kaylan finished the season 8th in Constructors Standings with 68 points.
Season 4

Following a set of poor results, Kaylan announced that Xander Mahakipare would take over Tanielu Felafa's role of Team Principal for the upcoming season. Under new leadership, the team head into new season with Chromatik Anola Melani and Tumbran Ted Pressley announced to be driving for the team during season 4, with Darian Vilau as the team's test and reserve driver. Kaylan secured additional funding from sponsors brought in by Pressley, allowing the team to further develop their new T170 chassis. With Kaylan replacing their old engine with new iteration in the form of Kaieke 3, the team head into new season.
Anola Melani brought Kaylan their first-ever WGP2 victory at Lintulahti Sprint Race, with Pressley winning Kaylan's first feature race during the following round in Siovanija and Teusland. Over the course of the season, Melani and Pressley acquired 4 race wins and 8 podium finishes, bringing the team a Constructors title with 261 points.

World Grand Prix Championship
Season 19
Following their WGP2 Constructors title, Kaylan's CEO Ralph Felan said that the team would be interested in stepping up to WGPC for the next season. A month prior to the start of Season 19, Kaylan Racing Team's social media accounts posted that the team had reached an agreement with WGPO to participate in the 19th season of World Grand Prix Championship. With the team shifting the assets of their former WGP2 operations to compete in WGPC, the team kept their core membership from their previous WGP2 season. Kaylan announced that they will not be operating a factory team in WGP2 Season 5, forming a partnership with Domerton Motorsports instead to serve as a junior team to Kaylan. At the start of the season, Kaylan announced that they would keep their former WGP2 line-up of Anola Melani and Ted Pressley, along with Darian Vilau remaining as the team's test driver. For their first season in WGPC, Kaylan unveiled a new WGPC-spec engine named Taika 1 to power Kaylan's new T180 chassis in the championship.
Despite showing promising results in the pre-season testing, the team's first season in WGPC started difficult. Kaylan drivers managed to finish in points for the first two races of the season, followed by a streak of non-points finishes until Filindostan Grand Prix, where Ted Pressley brought Kaylan their first WGPC podium finishing 2nd. Kaylan Racing Team eventually finished the season on 9th place in the Constructors Standings with 58 points.
Season 20
The team announced they will continue their participation in WGPC. Kaylan Racing Team extended Ted Pressley's contract for the season and with Anola Melani's departure from the team and the championship, Kaylan's former junior and test driver Darian Vilau was promoted to a full time race seat. Prior to the start of the season, the team stated they will keep using their Taika 1 powertrain for another season, albeit further development work was done according to the team. In addition, Kaylan stated that they will look into providing their engine to customer teams. Few days later, a supplier deal with Pressley Racing was unveiled to the public. Kaylan unveiled the T190 chassis along with their driver line-up to the public at the day of the first official pre-season test.

Kaylan finished the season 1st in the Teams Standings, with Vilau winning the Drivers Championship.
