The Omerican Professional Football League (French: Ligue omericaine de football professionnel), commonly referred to as the OPFL (French: LOFP), is the governing body for professional association football league competition in Omerica, serving under the authority of the United Republican Football Federation.

Competition

The 64 member clubs of the OPFL are grouped into four divisions of sixteen clubs each. In any given season a club plays each of the others in the same division twice, once at their home stadium and once at their opponents' home stadium. Consequently, each club plays a total of 30 league games each season.

Teams are ranked by a points system, with teams earning three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss. If two or more teams are tied on points, then goal difference, goals scored, games won, away goals and disciplinary record are used as tiebreakers in that order; if still equal, the teams are deemed to occupy the same position. If an absolute tie must be broken to determine the championship, relegation or qualification to domestic playoffs or international competitions, a playoff match at a neutral venue determines the higher-ranked team.

In each division, the two lowest-ranked teams are relegated to the division below and are replaced by the champions and runners-up of that division. Additionally, the fourteenth-place team in each division faces off against the third-place team from the division below over two legs, with the winning team earning a place in the higher division. Furthermore, the champions and runners-up of the Premier Division qualify for the FFI League of Victors, while the Federation Cup and OPFL Cup winners enter a playoff to determine the Confederations Trophy qualifier.
