The IFCF Super Cup is a knockout tournament played between the winners of the Champions League, Challengers Cup, Associations Trophy, and Liga B Champions Trophy.
The current tournament format was adopted from the 20th Super Cup. Currently, the winners of the Champions League and Challengers Cup are randomly drawn to play against the winners of the Cup Winners' Cup or Associations Trophy. The tournament is hosted by a member association of the IFCF executive council. The winner of the final is awarded the Super Cup and gold medals, the runners-up are awarded silver medals, while the semifinal losers contest a third-place playoff, with the playoff winners being awarded bronze medals. For the 20th and 21st editions, the semifinals were specified such that the Champions League winners played against the Liga B Champions Trophy winners, while the Challengers Cup winners played against the Association Trophy winners.
For the first 19 cycles, it was a single round-robin format played at a single venue adopted from the former UICA Super Cup. The teams were ranked on a conventional league table, with three points for a win and one point for a draw. Ties in standings points were broken by goal difference, followed by goals scored, and if teams are still tied a penalty shootout between the teams involved is held. The team finishing first was awarded the Super Cup trophy, while silver and bronze medals were awarded to the second and third-place teams.
In the first seven editions, the Champions League winners won the Super Cup on all but two occasions, one of which was notable - Straightdale FC (Valanora), who prevailed in Super Cup 3 as winners of the Liga B Champions Trophy. In the history of IFCF and UICA competitions, this was only the second time that the winner of the second division championship had accomplished this feat. Remarkably, another Vanorian club became the third club to accomplish this when Club ESF won the 11th Super Cup.
Clubs from Chromatika and Valanora have each won the Super Cup four times. Two-time winners Northern Union, Raynor City United and Wirr Tsi have won the trophy the most times.
