Ysqsylandia

The Jingoistic States of Ysqsylandia is a tiny, safe nation, ruled by president-for-life Ysqsy, and renowned for its compulsory military service, irreverence towards religion, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 12 million Ysqsylandianistanis (or Ysqsylandians for short) are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The very strong Ysqsylandian economy, worth ₱718 trillion a year, is led by the Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Basket Weaving, Tourism, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is almost ₱60 million, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning ₱177 million per year while the poor average ₱16 million, a ratio of 11.1 to 1. The tiny, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Law & Order. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.3%.

Crime is moderate, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Ysqsylandia's national animals are the swan and the snake, which frolic freely in the nation's many lush forests, according to the NationStates website.
