The Multiversal Chess Championships - Season 2 was the second season the individual chess tournaments that constitute the Multiversal Chess Championships, which resulted in the crowning of the second World Chess Champion.

MCC Tournaments

Five tournaments were held to determine the opponent of defending World Chess Champion Eleanor Rigby in the World Chess Championship match. All of the tournaments were contested by individual players in a classical time control.

2nd South Newlandian Classical Chess Cup

The 2nd South Newlandian Classical Chess Cup (SN3C) was the first tournament of MCC Season 2 and contested by 55 individual players in the Ivory Crown Hotel in Newport, South Newlandia. In a match, both players had 60 minutes to play all of their moves. Entrants were placed in six groups of 8 and one group of 7, playing everyone in their group once. The winners of each group qualified for a final stage, where they then played each of the other six group winners once.
