Soter Sarlange Erramospe (Astograthian pronunciation: [s̺o'teɾ s̺aɾ'laŋge era'mos̺pe]; born 22 Garibelarranil [30 November] 615), is an Astograthian retired professional footballer who played as a striker. He is considered one of the greatest players in Astograthian history, known for his achievements with Ituraitz FC, Cafundelense Primeirona side CR Submiria, and the Astograthian national team. He is Astograth's most capped player and all-time top goalscorer.
Born in Ituraitz, Sarlange trained at local club Ituraitz FC from a young age, initially as a goalkeeper due to his height. He later progressed through the youth ranks at Ituraitz as a striker, and made his first-team début in the Northwest Premier League in 633, at age 18. Sarlange would see regular action as a substitute the next two seasons, with Ituraitz competing in the newly-formed Astograthian First Division. During the 636 season, manager Domeka Iriarte chose to start Sarlange together with striker Dei Ormache; the partnership proved fruitful, as Ituraitz FC won their first Astograthian league title, with Ormache chosen the league's best player and top scorer. The following year, Sarlange scored 23 goals in 34 league appearances to crown himself First Division top scorer and guide Ituraitz FC to a runner-up finish. His season was capped by scoring a late winner in the Royal Cup final against Sporting Iturributa, sealing a 1–0 victory that won Ituraitz their first national cup. Sarlange scored 18 and 21 goals in the 638 and 639 First Division seasons, again becoming top scorer of both.
Sarlange transferred to CR Submiria of Cafundéu before the start of the Astograthian 640 season, and would start for the club the following 4 seasons; a Cafundelense season lasts two Astograthian years. Sarlange won two versions of CR Submiria's state league, the Troféu da Costa, and featured frequently among the top scorers of the Primeirona, Cafundéu's top flight. Submiria at the time specialised in scouting and signing players from Rushmore, which led to Sarlange being teammates with several of the region's best players, including future members of the World Cup Hall of Fame such as Civil Citizenry's Ingram Ackleigh, Eura's Lee Sharp, and Polar Islandstates' Alexsandr van Sorensen.
Ahead of the 648 season, aged 30, Sarlange returned to Ituraitz FC to see out the last stretch of his career. This included another league top scorer award in 648, a second Royal Cup win in 649, and another First Division title in 652, following which Sarlange retired from football.
At international level, Sarlange is the Astograthian national team's most-capped and highest-scoring player, and well-known for having formed the team's most formidable strike partnership with his Ituraitz FC teammate Dei Ormache. He came on as a substitute in Astograth's first-ever match, scored in the famous match against Polar Islandstates held on 15 March 637, and would take part in every qualifying campaign from World Cup 55 to World Cup 61. Sarlange played a key role in winning Cup of Harmony 50, scoring in the final against The Archregimancy. At World Cup 61, during which Astograth achieved a 4th-place finish, Sarlange reached a landmark 200 caps in the tournament's third-place play-off and subsequently retired from international football. Unlike many of his generational teammates, Sarlange did not remain linked to football after retirement, instead choosing to keep a low public profile and branch into private investment. He is a co-founder and majority owner of Chistorra Sarlange, a major manufacturer of sausages and charcuterie which is today one of Ituraitz FC's main sponsors.
