The Tikariotian National League, also known as the TNL, is a series of interconnected leagues for association football clubs in Tikariot. The system has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation between leagues at different levels, allowing for clubs to rise and fall within the system.

About

The TNL was founded after a re-organization of the Tikariotian football league system, which saw the then third division turn to a single-tier format, an expansion of the fourth division and the introduction of a fifth division. The tiers subsequently were named Tikariot National League 1, Tikariot National League 2 and Tikariot National League 3, with the TNL1 having professional status and the two lower divisions being semi-professional.

Structure

The Tikariot National League 1 is a single-tier third division of 22 clubs, the Tikariot National League 2 is two-tiered with an eastern and western group of 20 clubs each and finally the Tikariot National League 3 consists of four groups of 20 teams each, also divided into east and west.

Promotion/Relegation Structure

  1. Tikariot National League 1 (level 3, 22 teams): The top 4 teams are automatically promoted to the Tikariot Second League. The bottom 4 teams are relegated.
  2. Tikariot National League 2 (level 4, 2 groups of 20 teams): The top 2 teams are promoted. The bottom 4 teams are relegated.
  3. Tikariot National League 3 (level 5, 4 groups of 20 teams): The top 4 teams are promoted. Up to 1-2 teams may be relegated, subject to whether there is any teams that will be promoted from the respective provincial leagues.
